Comment: Operation Pinnaroo was
conducted in the Long Hai Hills. It was planned as a
reconnaissance-in-force operation intending to isolate the Long Hai Hills
from the enemy. It was the first time Centurion tanks were used on
1ATF operations in South Vietnam. Overall Australian casualties
during the six week operation was 10 KIA and 36 WIA.
