48-15.  The loan AN/MTC-1 Shelters (AN/MTA-3 switch part and AN/MTA-4 control part) being prepared to take over in Oct 1969 from the old common battery TC-10 Switchboard which in late 1967 replaced the SB-86 magneto equipment.  SB-86 equipment remained for emergency backup, etc.  LR  Unknown (Possibly visiting CMF Officer from 124 Sig Sqn), WO2 Terry Sturgess (STT)  and Capt David "Red" Nichols (OC, Comcen Tp).   Photo supplied by Peter Diddams [1969]

48-16.  Ebony Sir!  104 switchboard operators always hard at work manning the equipment 24 hours, 7 days at Nui Dat.
