Comment:  Note the Corner Reflector Radio Relay Antennas from the AN/GRC-50 which is the US Army 39 Sig Bn link to 2FFV, Long Binh.  Other Antennas are the Australian Radio Relay AN/MRC-69 and VHF Radios.

104 Sigs - APC at Nui Dat - Many KIA by Satchel Charge 1971

APC Callsign "Tango Alpha 84B" was hit by a RPG round at about 1025hours, 12 June 1971.  The RPG round hit the top edge of the APC and glanced off into an large ammo liner (mini-gun belted ammo).  The liner contained more then a dozen claymore mines and the lot blew up.  The blast KIA five D&E platoon, HQ Coy, 1 ATF diggers, three D&E diggers were WIA, one seriously.  The APC crew commander and driver were also KIA.      Photo supplied by Nev Haskett [1971] and details provided by Eddie Tricker (D&E Platoon, HQ Coy).
